YOSI
After the sudden death of his grandmother, the queer undocumented poet Yosimar Reyes is left to grieve not only her loss but the vanishing sense of home she embodied. Now, against the backdrop of escalating ICE raids and mass deportations, Yosi must confront what it means to stay, to fight, and to belong in a country that refuses to claim him.

In collaboration with production companies Discordia and Protozoa, I was responsible for the local production during two shooting stages of the documentary YOSI in the state of Guerrero. Alongside a wonderful team led by director Jimmy Goldblum and producer Esteban Zuluaga, I oversaw all operational and safety logistics to ensure an efficient and secure shoot.
